Welcome to Religious Education! The goal of the 1st through 8th grade Religious Education program is to offer a quality program where children can experience and learn the importance of their gift of faith. We endeavor to proclaim and teach the Gospel of Christ as found in Sacred Scripture and the Sacred Traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, and to make them aware of the richness of those Traditions and Catholic Doctrines. The catechists who teach your children are parishioners who, lovingly, volunteer their time and talent for the greater glory of God. They come forward to share their faith with the children and youth of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Many of them have taught one year or more. Some have taught for up to 8 years! All catechists are encouraged to grow in their awareness and knowledge of our Catholic Faith and to develop their personal spirituality. You are welcome to become involved either as a catechist or as an aide. Please see our volunteer page if you are interested. We realize that parents are the “first and foremost” educators of their children, and your child’s faith formation begins in the home. How you live your faith has a much greater impact and influence on your child than any one hour program offered weekly in a classroom setting. In addition, attending Mass together each weekend teaches children more about the importance of praying together than any text book lesson on the Mass! Let’s pray for and encourage each other as we lead the children of our parish into a deeper understanding and relationship with our Lord. Preschool-Kindergarten: Religious Education classes are available for three/four year-olds through Kindergarten.
